When disease spread through the world, some humans became ravenous vampires. Those that didn't live in colonies underground.
Kayla lives in a colony and is a Bellator, a warrior who fights vampires.
There are three rules she has to follow if she wants to survive:

But during a moment of weakness, she messes up and is left trying to survive in the world above.
